Founding Partners: BIlly Krakower, Scott Rocco, and Brad Currie

Dr. Scott Rocco is a Superintendent in New Jersey. He is also an adjunct professor at The College of New Jersey and Rider University, instructor in the NJEXCEL program, Keynote speaker, presenter, co-founder/co-moderator of #Satchat on Twitter, and co-author of 140 Twitter Tips for Educators and Hacking Google for Education. During his 29 years in education Scott has served as an assistant superintendent, elementary principal, middle school vice principal, and a middle and high school teacher.
​
​Scott has given Keynote, conference and group presentations on the positive use of social media for educators, school safety, marketing yourself, generational differences in the education world, and various leadership topics. He is dedicated to positively and productively engaging educators in a dialogue that improves student learning, enhances instruction, and creates effective learning environments for all who attend and work in schools. Scott was the 2023 NJTESOL Superintendent of the Year, 2022 New Jersey Superintendent of the Year, 2022 New Jersey Public Servant of the Year, and the 2021 New Jersey PTA Outstanding Superintendent Award recipient.

Billy Krakower is the Computer Technology Instructor, Gifted & Talented and STEAM Lab Teacher for grades three and four at Beatrice Gilmore Elementary School in the Woodland Park Public School District. For the past ten years, he has served as  Special Education Teacher, an Inclusion, and Resource Room Teacher.  He enjoys preparing his students for the 21st century by teaching them how to use web 2.0 tools such as Edmodo, Skype, Google Hangouts, Google Docs, and Social Media.  

​Billy is part of ASCD's 2014 Emerging Leaders Class, a Google Educator, a Microsoft Office Specialist, and a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator.  Billy has published five books including Connecting Your Students with The World; Using Technology to Engage Students with Disabilities; Hacking Google for Education; 140 Twitter Tips for Educators; and Getting Started with STEAM.  Follow Billy on Twitter @wkrakower or visit his website at www.billykrakower.com.

Brad Currie has been an educator for over 20 years. He started out as a Social Studies and Computer Applications Teacher for the Hanover Township School District in Whippany, New Jersey. Brad then transitioned to the field of administration as a Vice Principal and Athletic Director for the Readington Township School District in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey. He then served as the K-8 Supervisor of Instruction and Dean of Students for the Chester School District in Chester, New Jersey. Currently, Brad is the Director of Planning, Research, and Evaluation for the Chester School District in Chester, New Jersey. 

Brad is the 2017 NASSP National Assistant Principal of the Year and the 2017 NJPSA Visionary Assistant Principal of the Year. He is part of  ASCD's 2014 Emerging Leaders Class and a Google Certified Trainer. Brad has published five books including All Hands on Deck:Tools for Connecting Educators, Parents, and Communities. Brad currently serves as an adjunct professor at Rider University teaching undergraduate courses on educational technology.
