Aspiring Administrators Workshop
Prepare today for tomorrow's interview.
As educators, we tend not to be habitual interviewers. This is a good thing. Most of us will spend years in a position or school district and then look to advance our careers when we feel it’s time, or when a position of interest presents itself. As a result, we are not great at interviewing and the mere thought of having to go through the process causes many of us to break out into a sweat. Add to our concern the fact that most of us are not effective at promoting ourselves as educators or bragging about our educational successes.
We are educators, not marketers and promoters! We like stability. We like continuity. Change is tough for educators. That’s why we can struggle with what to do when we see a new position we are interested in. We don’t know where to begin to market ourselves and how to prepare for that job interview that will get us our first, next, and best job in the education field. |
