Google Training for School Secretaries and Administrative Assistants  


Below you will find sessions for Google Docs. Most sessions are an hour and half. Small large group training sessions are available in-person and virtually. To register or inquire about specific training sessions make sure to email us at evolving@evolvingeducators.com. 

Google Docs Descriptions


Beginner
​Session Description: In this beginner session we will learn how to access stored Drive files offline, create document templates, see changes in Drive files and folders, and switch to a different version of your file. We will explore how to share “Make a copy” links to your files and links to PDF versions of your files. Finally, we will explore how to work with Microsoft Office files and convert them to Google Docs.

Intermediate 
​​
Session Description: Learn how you can get the most out of Google Docs and improve communication and productivity. In this session, we will be exploring add/edit images, creating automatic outlines in Docs, and how to create tables within Google Docs. Participants will also learn how to share content with multiple people, email collaborators, and mark a shared file as final. We will also explore how to restrict sharing options on Drive files, set an expiration date for file access, and transfer ownership of a file.

Advanced 
Session Description: Participants will explore some of the advanced features of Google Docs. We will learn how to do more with add-ons and scripts during this session and create professional-looking newsletters. Learn how to space table rows and columns evenly. If you have families who speak different languages at home, we will learn how to translate Docs into other languages. In addition we will cover how to add Keep notes to documents, share a Google Doc file publicly, and how to publish files as web pages.
